First snowflakes fell on the summit of Bjelašnica as early as September
BHMeteo recorded snow at 1,860 metres, at the top station of the six-seater chairlift. Real winter and the ski season are expected, as in previous years, in November.

As the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute had forecast, light snow began falling on Bjelašnica on 22 September. BHMeteo published footage of snowflakes at 1,860 metres, at the top station of the six-seater chairlift.
The precipitation was light and only at higher altitudes, so the snow did not settle. Similar September snowfalls have been recorded in earlier years on Bjelašnica, Jahorina and Vlašić. Real winter and the start of the ski season are expected later, in November, as in previous years.
